part 1 of assignment:
“Depression Amongst NFL Players”
I have attached a document that is semi complete. It is a group work and each member is assigned different parts of the work.
It already has article that is needed on the document either through a link or a reference.
If you need to use another source for information, USE A RELIABLE AND REPUTABLE SOURCE OR PEER REVIEWED and add it onto the reference list after properly cited.
my part is to do descriptive epidemiology which would be the “who, what and where”
This should not take more than a paragraph or half a page.
I have attached a case study that is for this part of the assignment called “The Impact of Profitability on Leadership and Accountability in a Public University Dental Clinic”
Each student will list major managerial issues/problems identified in the case any time by the end of the week (2 points). Quick tips to your posts:
a) Relating personal experience (cautiously of course)
b) Critically analyzing the content of the case and not just summarizing what you viewed in a post
c) Have good grammar and proofread for spelling errors (this is the real world!)
d) Be logical, reasoned and support your statements with facts!
Here is an example of what one of peer have posted for this assignment. do not copy but use this as an example to do the work.
“In the case study report referencing the Dental Clinic, we see the power struggle between the Dental Director, the Health Center Director, and the Dentist. In addition to the Financial Counselor to the Office Assistance and the Dental Assistants. For example, we have goal setting issues that overlap with the performance and services offered. The goal-setting problems stem from the abundance of demands and services needed within the organization. The Dental Director envisioned a clinic that could sustain the schedule and patients in an adequate time frame. The supporting elements needed were overlooked as to the Office Assistant and her capabilities, therefore leaving her engulfed with making errors and the Financial Counselor working for both of them to perform the necessary task. The Dentist was overwhelmed with the demand to perform services, and the expectancies were not to work harder than he previously had before taking this position. In the case, we see the Dentist with an optimistic attribution style with a sense of entitlement due to his success/ skills. He feels like he should call the shots on how the services are delivered. If he needs a referral, he will use it because he took this position to work less, along with less money and stress. He relates the referrals to the inadequate poor health conditions of the patients they are seeing. The Dental Director uses assertiveness to enforce the demands for services and make the Dentist perform his duties.
We also know the extinction of previous protocols were wiped out by the Health Center Director, leaving the Dentist in authority to implement further procedures and take on a leadership role. A coalition formation formed between the clinical staff and the administration staff. Conflicts and a lack of authority to follow guidelines as planned overturned this dental office. The Health Center Director, with a middle-of-the-road management style, contributed to playing both sides of the field to please all parties involved. The Health Center Director disregarded the Dental Director’s role and caused substandard trust issues and concerns over authority and execution. This office failed and could no longer function efficiently without proper supervision and leadership.”
