The program emphasizes professional practice in higher education guided and informed by theory and research.”

MY Long Term Goals
I want to always provide an inclusive environment that impacts of student’s success and college involvement. This environment would be a safe space where students can talk about their specific social, ethnic and cultural needs. I see this as a continuing goal because it fits into my interest of consolidating student’s success and college persistence. In my current roles, I tilt towards programs and initiatives that promote restorative justice regarding students’ conduct, and to facilitate the retention of underrepresented students as this is the foundation of my future plans. In the long run, I wish to obtain my doctorate and serve as a faculty in the field of higher education and student affairs. This will avail me the opportunity to create the needed inclusive learning environment for my students.
