Authoritarian Style – This leader focuses on tasks and decides alone without the opinions of others. This is a top down

Laissez-Faire – There is no leadership. This is a self-directed approach. No micromanaging and no direct supervision on a

Theory X: This theory assumes that employees do not like work, employees are typically lazy, employees do not like responsibility, and employees must be motivated to perform at any capacity.
Theory Y: This theory assumes that employees like to work, employees are very responsible, creative, and they are self motivated and do not need to be micromanaged.

Task Behavior vs. Relationship Behavior
The behavioral approach to leadership is composed of two components: task behavior and relationship behavior.
Task behavior – This is what leaders do. Leaders help the team members to accomplish their goals and to achieve their objectives. Relationship behavior – This is how leaders act. Leaders help team members feel comfortable and there is more networking with this approach.
This is how the behavioral approach works: The behavioral approach reminds leaders that their actions toward others occur on a task level and a relationship level. In some situations leaders need to be more task oriented, whereas in others they need to be more relationship oriented. Similarly, some teams need leaders who provide a lot of direction, whereas others need leaders who can give support and encouragement without the being involved in the actual tasks.
Personal EntrepreneurshipTM is an idea that before we can be effective leaders we need to have a plan for continuous improvement in our own lives. This plan includes continuous improvement in our personal, professional, and spiritual life. Personal EntrepreneurshipTM is all about empowering our endless potential in these three areas.
