This assignment has two parts. The first part is a paper and the second part is a presentation. The first part is a review of NCU dissertations to help you understand what will be expected of you as you move into the dissertation phase of your work. The second part allows you to proactively set up a pretest/posttest design.

Part 1

For each of the three NCU dissertations listed in the Resources for this week, identify in one sentence each the problem, purpose, research questions, methodology and used in the study, and finally, why the methodology and design selected are appropriate to answer the research questions presented.

Part 2

Select a pretest/posttest, time-series, or factorial design to explore in more detail. For your selection, in one succinct page, lay out a mini-research proposal that includes your problem, purpose, research questions, hypotheses, selected design, and a justification of why this design is the best choice for your work. Be sure to indicate whether your work would be experimental or quasi-experimental and why.
