As this is a group project, all you can do to the work thats already done is edit it and try to answer the question below
Learning Activity LA2-A involves learning about the Kepler Spacecraft and its mission (A Search for Habitable Planets). Each member of your group must go to the Kepler website (kepler.nasa.gov) and find something that interests you. Submit your essay to the drop box.
The purpose of this essay is to inspire young budding astronomers to continue exploring the cosmos in search of Earth-like planets so imagine that your essay about the Kepler Mission will be read to first-year Astronomy students around the world and should be designed to spark their interest in Kepler. (Remember that lifting or copying text from the website constitutes plagiarism, an act of academic dishonesty and is not allowed – if you need some help see below). As Module 3 involves, in part, studying about exoplanets and the search for them please do not write about Kepler, the man, but rather Kepler, the spacecraft.
The following url should get you to the Kepler website — www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/kepler. You may have to copy it and paste it into your browser.
Although I’m not attempting to direct the content of your LA perhaps one person could write about the spacecraft itself, another about the technique that it used to search for exoplanets, another about the findings of the search and so on. Copying pictures IS allowed but please provide credit and location within the website. Poke around the website before deciding on what to write about. Also, you shouldn’t feel limited to just one website. If there are other resources that contain aspects you wish to include feel free to use them as well. The minimum length for this assignment is 2000 words but you can certainly write more if you wish (I’d encourage you to write more). By now you should know that I do deduct marks for spelling and grammar errors, so proofread your assignment before hitting the Send button!
