Evaluation Criteria:
Students are required to complete a final scenario project worth 200 points. In this scenario, you are the Chief Information Officer for Premier College. Recently, your college has received a notice from the Department of Education about an investigation of your college based on the state-specific testing and compliance procedures. The Department of Education has sent a Litigation Hold Notice wherein they have asked all college staff and administrators of the college to preserve all relevant documents, records, data, contracts (regardless of its location or medium), and correspondence notes. After receiving the Litigation Hold Notice, you will:
Create a document retention policy for your College that complies with all state and Federal regulations.
Create a Litigation Hold Notice similar to the one provided to you in the Project Litigation Hold Notice handout.
Create a checklist of procedures that must be followed in order to comply with the Litigation Hold Notice.
Prepare a complete summary of findings.
Papers require a minimum 2,000 words (not including title page and references). It would take a very good project (interesting, organized, topical, relevant, and grammatically correct) to receive 200 points. I reserve the right to modify any paper and submit it for publication as your co-author. If the paper (or a significant portion of it) has already been submitted in another class or published, it will be disallowed for this class. Plagiarism on the paper may result in an XF grade in this class. (See policy reference on academic dishonesty below.) The finished paper must be submitted to me via email in Word format PRIOR to the end of the semester. APA style is required for papers. http://www.apastyle.org/
